THE BANK OF BENNINGTON BREAKS GROUND Bennington, VT – The Bank of Bennington broke ground this week, beginning construction of its new, full service office at Phyllis Lane in Bennington. The new branch will be at the intersection of VT 67A and Phyllis Lane, next to Cinema 7 and the RT 279 entrance/exit ramps. In attendance (photo left to right) were Mark Krause and Kim Livingston of MacDonald - Secor Associates; Jim Secor of MSK Engineering & Design; Charlie Miller of NES Group; James Brown, President and CEO of The Bank of Bennington; and Elaine Letourneau, Senior Vice President of The Bank of Bennington. Once complete the new facility will offer a full-suite of services including drive-up tellers and a drive-up ATM. “The bank is excited to move forward on this project. It will enable us to continue our growth in Bennington County and to offer more convenience to our existing customers. We’re pleased to be fiscally strong enough, even in these difficult economic times, to make this investment in our future,” said Brown. The new facility is expected to be complete and opened in late fall 2010.
